A trove of films, photographs, art and artefacts revealed from the borough’s archive and museum collections will be available to view online and on social media from next Friday under the Museum of Croydon’s 75th anniversary celebration of VE Day.
With schools currently closed due to COVID-19, many children and young people are spending much more time online than usual, to access learning resources and to socialise with family and friends. The internet can be a great tool for staying connected and as a source of information, advice and support, but it can pose some risks, particularly for children and young people.
“With the news this week that we are thankfully being told we could be past the peak of this health crisis, increasingly our thoughts turn to life after lockdown.
Off licences and supermarkets across Croydon are to display posters publicising where domestic abuse victims can seek help, as part of a new awareness campaign launching on Monday.
In response to the current Covid-19 pandemic, new temporary schemes that further reduce traffic, allowing residents to make better use of quieter roads are to be introduced across Croydon.
