About Us

St Chad's Catholic primary school is a two-form entry school, with a nursery, located on a very pleasant and green site in South Norwood.

Built in 1977 as a one-form entry school, it expanded in 1999 to take 60 children in each year group, to meet the growing needs of Catholic families in the local area.  There is a strong community within the school and established links to the local Catholic church of St Chad's in Whitworth Road.

The school serves to educate the children of the local Catholic community in South Norwood.  It aims to put Christ and His teachings at the heart of its existence by promoting our faith in a meaningful way for children, staff, parents and the wider school community.

On 1st April 2016, it converted to academy status as a single status academy.  The school is part of The Croydon Catholic Schools' Umbrella Trust as well as a member of the Change Through Learning Teaching Schools' Alliance.
