End of Key Stage Results and Progress 2018

KEY STAGE 2 RESULTS FOR ST. CHAD’S CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL -2018

End of Key Stage 1 and 2 assessments in 2018, assessed attainment against the New Curriculum implemented by the Government in 2014.  The curriculum is challenging and was introduced to promote improved attainment for all pupils.

Results in 2018 were based on the principle of ‘Assessment without Levels’ and on pupils achieving a standardised score of at least 100 to achieve Age Expectations (ARE). Value added progress continues to be important, particularly at the end of Key Stage 2. The expectation is that all pupils should make good progress. Therefore, all individual pupils’ progress contributes towards the school’s overall progress score.

We are delighted with the results achieved at the end of each key stage and with the outcomes of Year 1 Phonics test. We were pleased with the progress made by pupils at the end of Key Stage 2, although there was a small dip from the 2017 results. However the results achieved by the pupils are even across all three subjects.
