CALAT training – English for speakers of other languages
CALAT offers courses in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) for people who are settled in the UK, want to improve their English language skills, and gain nationally recognised qualifications.
Courses are offered at a number of levels:
Pre-entry (beginners)
Entry 1, Entry 2, Entry 3
Level 1, Level 2
Courses are at a number of different times – morning, afternoon and evenings
All learners will be assessed and advised before they join a course. You will need to bring your passport or Home Office papers, proof of benefit (if applicable), National Insurance Number and payment for the course (if applicable)
ESOL classes are FREE for learners seeking employment and receiving Job Seekers Allowance (JSA), ESA (WRAG) or other means-tested benefits
Courses run for 50, 70 or 110 hours over a 10 week term. For learners who work or are not on benefits the hourly fee is £4.20

- 61 Central Parade, New Addington, Croydon, CR0 0JD
