Ms Jameson our Headteacher is the Safeguarding Lead.

Mrs Davern our Family Support Worker along with Mrs Mitchener and Mrs Mooney the Deputy Headteachers are the Deputy Safeguarding Leads.

All four members of staff are also trained Mental Health First Aiders.

Safeguarding at St Chad's

Our Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy can be found under the 'policies and Key information' tab on the website.  Paper copies of the policy is available from the school office on request.

At St Chad's we use the CPOMS software to monitor and log all incidents relating to safeguarding, child protection, well being and behaviour.

Our School’s Child Protection (CP) policy draws upon duties conferred by the Children Acts 1989 and 2004, The Children and Families Act 2014, S175 of the 2002 Education Act, The Education (Independent School Standards) Regulations 2014 (for independent schools), and the guidance contained in “Working Together to Safeguard Children”, the DfE’s statutory guidance “Keeping children safe in education”2019, Ofsted Guidance and procedures produced by St Chad's Safeguarding Team.
